Firm Talent Summit
Accounting firms are facing an unprecedented workforce reckoning. From the shrinking pipeline of accounting graduates to the exodus of mid-career professionals and the struggle to meet evolving employee expectations, talent is now the defining issue shaping firm growth and sustainability.
Join Accounting Today for a focused half-day virtual summit exploring the most urgent workforce challenges confronting the profession — and the strategies top firms are using to overcome them. Hear from firm leaders, recruiters, and innovators who are redefining hiring, upskilling, and culture for the next generation of accounting professionals.
You’ll gain actionable insights on building a stronger, more adaptable workforce — one that’s prepared to thrive amid talent shortages, technology disruption, and changing employee expectations.
Agenda
As traditional pipelines shrink, firms are being forced to rethink where and how they source talent. This panel explores how leading firms are expanding beyond conventional recruiting channels to tap into new, often overlooked talent pools. From nontraditional candidates to global hiring strategies, learn how firms are finding — and competing for — the talent they need to grow.
The skills firms need are evolving faster than ever, driven by technology, advisory expansion, and changing client demands. In this session, firm leaders and talent experts will discuss how they are identifying critical skills gaps and building scalable upskilling strategies. Learn how firms are investing in training, redefining career paths, and preparing their workforce for a more digital, advisory-driven future.
With capacity constraints continuing to challenge firms, outsourcing has moved from a tactical solution to a strategic imperative. This panel examines how firms are leveraging offshore and outsourced talent to manage workloads, improve margins, and increase flexibility. Hear how firms are structuring these models, maintaining quality, and integrating outsourced teams into their broader workforce strategy.
Who better to tell firm leaders why it’s so hard to recruit and retain young people in accounting than the young professionals themselves? In this candid panel, early-career accountants share what they love—and hate—about the profession, what drew them to the accounting profession, and the best ways to catch and keep their interest.
